-
Do people know about their performance?
-
Do people know where to find parts, tools, fixtures, information?
-
How much inventory is on hand?
-
What happens next in this process, line, cell, etc?
-
Where is that product that always seems to be short-counted?
-
Does this part/person/machine belong here?
-
How do you know you've "had a good day"?
-
Is that component good or scrap?
If you can't answer these questions by looking out on the floor for a few
seconds, then you need better visual management.
