As President and
Lean Sensei of GDC, Mr. Walker’s
role is to guide the vision and
strategic deployment process at the
highest level with our client
partners. He has spent the past 25
years perfecting his Lean Conversion
skills through experiencing and
implementing best practices in a
multitude of organizations. Since
GDC’s inception in 2000, Mr. Walker
has led the organization in
achieving great success by helping
large and mid-size companies in a
variety of industries implement
their own Lean Conversion
strategies. The GDC team has
assisted over 400 companies
world-wide achieve major financial
improvements resulting in documented
savings of over $700M.
As a pioneer in the
field of production operations
management, Mr. Walker is one of
only a handful that has developed a
“Lean Master Trainer” program to
help companies develop their next
level of future leaders. Mr. Walker
specializes in the guidance and
development of Lean Leaders;
educating executives, plant
managers, and plant staff in the
principles of Lean Conversion and
the 18 elements.
Prior to starting GDC,
Mr. Walker held various positions in
operations from Director to COO. His
work experience encompasses a variety of
companies including Daikin Clutch, Pilot
Automotive, C.R. Bard, Ralston Foods,
Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center
and Rave Computer. Mr. Walker began his
experience in Lean after spending
several years in the early 80’s working
directly with Toyota Senseis from Toyota
City (Japan) and holds a BA in
Production Operation Management, a
Masters in Production and Operations
Engineering and he is also a Certified
Six Sigma Black Belt.
