Course Description:

In this workshop you will learn the skills necessary to see peak performance in your company and life!  We will explore real-life case studies chronicling the development and evolution of integrated conflict management systems as effective means to manage common and costly workplace conflicts. Participants will learn how to investigate and implement the steps involved in designing and developing an integrated conflict management system in the context of a fictional case study. You will become familiar with a set of metrics designed to evaluate the effectiveness of conflict management systems and apply them to your own organization.

 

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will accept and handle conflict more comfortably and effectively.  They will be able to:

 

·         Assess their own style of handling conflict as well as be able to identify other people’s conflict behavior.

·         Manage any conflict situation using the methods that have been discussed in class.

·         Understand the different methods and styles of dealing with conflict

·         Understand their own approach to conflict management (compound or diminish conflict?)

·         Determine which style to use for each situation

·         Know how to manage conflict appropriately

Who Should Attend:
Managers, supervisors and team leaders, who oversee conflict resolution.  This course can also be used within a particular department or area that is experiencing a high level of conflict.  This application will ensure that all members understand basic conflict management.
